We found out just last week that Young Sheldon, the seven-season prequel to the popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory on CBS, will be ending next year. Young Sheldon was first noticed by What’s on Netflix and will now be available on Netflix starting on November 24, 2023, according to a statement released by Warner Bros. Discovery.
Young Sheldon’s last season will premiere on February 15 and conclude with an hour-long series finale on May 16. The show premiered in 2017 and followed Iain Armitage’s portrayal of a 9-year-old child prodigy named Sheldon Cooper who lived in Medford, Texas. The Big Bang Theory’s Sheldon Parsons, Jim Parsons, narrated the show and acted as executive producer. You may now catch up on the popular show before CBS airs the last episode.
Fans who do not own Max can now watch Young Sheldon on Netflix, but he will still be available for streaming on Max. Seasons 1 through 5 will be available on Netflix, so Season 6 will continue to be a Max exclusive.
Young Sheldon’s seventh season will be shorter than the previous ones because of the production disruption brought on by the two strikes in Hollywood. Last season, when Sheldon started compiling a comprehensive database of collegiate educational grants and alluded to the fact that the genius would soon be attending the California Institute of Technology—a precursor to The Big Bang Theory—fans were increasingly alarmed.
“Young Sheldon demonstrated that lightning can strike twice as a prequel to one of the biggest comedies,” stated CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach, as reported by People. It distinguished itself by having a wonderful ensemble that made us feel like we knew them from the first time we saw them on screen and by giving characters life through original, touching tales that captivated viewers right away.
