Young Sheldon Season 7 (Release Date and cast reactions to it being the Final Season)

Iain Armitage, actor of Young Sheldon, has pledged to create “the best seventh season we can possibly make,” following the announcement that Season 7 of the popular Big Bang Theory spinoff will be the last.

He captioned a picture of himself on set with TV siblings Raegan Revord and Montana Jordan, saying, “In case you wondered, I love my family.” About 200 additional people contribute to Young Sheldon’s success, and I am appreciative of each and every one of them.

We will make the best seventh season we can possibly make,” Armitage wrote. “And behind the scenes there will be lots of laughter and lots of tears because I love all of these people so much.”

Revord, who plays the twin sister of Sheldon, commented on Armitage’s post: “Can’t stop crying,” she wrote. “My family forever!”

Connie “Meemaw” Tucker’s actress, Annie Potts, also voiced her opinions on Instagram.

“After seven fabulous, hilarious, fulfilling years, “Young Sheldon” will say goodby,” Potts wrote. “It’s a bittersweet moment. I have loved every moment of this work and loved every person who has made this wonderful show possible. I have been awed by the talent of my fellow cast members who feel more like family than colleagues. I am beyond grateful to all the “Young Sheldon” viewers and fans who made us Number 1. So, while I’ll miss the day-to-day business of making “Young Sheldon,” I celebrate seven wonderful years of laughter and love. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of it.”

The upcoming seventh season, which consists of 14 episodes, will wrap out the series, as we revealed yesterday. Thursday, May 16, at 8 PM, Young Sheldon will show a one-hour series finale.

Young Sheldon, which was created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro, executive producers and writers, is centered around Sheldon Cooper (Armitage), a once-in-a-generation brain that can solve complex mathematical and scientific problems—a useful skill in a place where football and religion rule supreme. Sheldon, who is sensitive, intelligent, and sometimes naive, deals with the outside world, but his typical family has to figure out how to handle him.

Starring in the series are Parsons (as Sheldon’s voice), Annie Potts, Zoe Perry, and Lance Barber. Executive producers include Lorre, Molaro, Holland, Nick Bakay, Parsons, and Todd Spiewak. Chuck Lorre Productions and Warner Bros. Television are the producers of Young Sheldon. Seventh season will debut on CBS on February 15, 2024.

  2. This is just not right
So what if Sheldon moves away, there’s also Missy, Mary, George, Georgie, Meemaw. That’s a GREAT cast. Do something with them.. Gibbs left NCIS but the show keeps going. Do the same with “Sheldon’s Family” !!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. It is time for it to end the writers took a wrong turn last season and it just gets worse withe every show.. maybe a spin off with new writers and a new direction for the cast could work. Just my take.

  4. I, too, would love to see a continuation or a spin-off of this show that would include most of these key actors. These actors along with a great script were very dynamic in entertaining the TV audience! The show was a super hit. I hope and pray that a savvy group of producers, writers and directors are able to pitch a new show and get picked up by a network!
Thank you for this first 7 season super terrific run! ❤️

  5. If this is the last season – I’m not happy about it. The show was hit around the globe. All of the cast are well-loved. I hope there will be a new family show that includes all of these wonderful key actors. The world needs a show with all of them in it.
